Not as bad as we thought is still bad

In case you didn’t know there is a huge zone in the Gulf of Mexico devoid of oxygen and therefore life, primarily due to runoff from agricultural fertilizers up and down the Mississippi. This year’s dead zone isn’t as bad as was predicted, but is still twice as big as last year.

Why this year’s Gulf dead zone is twice as big as last year’s.
