About

Lucas Land currently works in Santa Cruz, Bolivia with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) running Centro Menno, a center for Low German Mennonites that distributes German publications and runs a small library with books in German, Spanish, and English. He started a small sustainable landscaping business called Edible Lawns. He worked in 2011 with MCC on water and agriculture issues with Low-German Mennonites and local indigenous people. He was also an intern at World Hunger Relief, Inc. and a graduate of Truett Theological Seminary. He is married to the lovely Sarah and has three beautiful children, Asher, Lydia, and Dorothy.

This blog used to be called What Would Jesus Eat? and strated with a bit more narrow focus. Here’s what I wrote back then: A wise man once said, “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink… Is not life more than food?” (Mt 6:25) Jesus obviously didn’t live in 21st century America. Life is certainly more than food, but it’s also not much without it. Food is at the center of who we are as people and as cultures. We gather around tables, share meals, cook for each other… or at least we used to. Food tells us a lot of things and connects to just about every area of life. That is why I’m convinced that the more we understand our food, what it is and where it comes from, the more we will understand the crazy complex world around us, including issues like globalization, the environment, poverty, hunger and health.

I visited your blog, What Would Jesus Eat? located at https://wwje.wordpress.com/ recently. I must say, I’m quite impressed by the blog’s content. In particular, I really liked https://wwje.wordpress.com/2009/01/07/the-righteous-rich/.

    Good job!

I’d like to know if you’d be interested in having me as a guest writer for your blog. I am a features writer working with MiracleFruitPlus.com. I’d like to write a free 300 to 400 word blog entry for you. I have a few years experience and would really enjoy writing one or two guest blog entries for your blog.

If you’d like to take me up on my offer, please send me a topic and a quick outline of what you’d like the article to say. Please give me as much detail as possible so I can make the blog entry meet your specifications as much as possible.

In exchange for this free blog entry, I would like to request a linkback to MiracleFruitPlus in the body of the blog entry somewhere using the title tag “miracle fruit.”

I look forward to your response

    Best Regards,

  5. Yes, food is important element of a culture. And what is going on in the US food is chemical intervention leading to a degradation of the population. As a professional chemist, I can see this better than many others. This was the reason why I have started the DyeDiet.com. We need to stop eating “satanic” food colorants and thousands of other food additives crippling our and our children’s bloods and brains.
